Titla & Parsi, PLLC, has office locations in Scottsdale and Globe.  While the Firm has specialized expertise in Federal Indian Law, over the years we have expanded our client base and areas of practice.   The Firm now practices in other matters such as personal injury, corporate/commercial transactions, employment law, benefits related matters, environmental law and real estate. Attorneys in the firm are licensed in multiple jurisdictions and the Firm has practiced in numerous states, federal and tribal courts.

The Law Clerk position supports the Firm’s clients by applying knowledge of legal concepts and processes.  Under the direction of the Firm’s attorneys and staff, the Law Clerk conducts legal research, drafts legal documents and memorandum, assists with project intake and execution, and assists with preparing PowerPoint and Excel documents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend client meetings, summarize key action items, and gather documents and information for attorney analysis
  • Conduct basic legal research and communicate results
  • Draft documents and communications with oversight
  • Summarize relevant basic legal and business issues and update attorney/paralegal
  • Distribute documents for review as required
  • Obtain necessary approvals and signatures
  • Validate current processes and identify need for process change

Job Qualifications:

  • Education: current law student
  • Years of experience: 0-3 years
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Professional, and other web-based applications (including but not limited to Westlaw and other legal research tools)
  • Excellent writing, researching, proofreading, and formatting skills
  • Willingness to learn Firm’s case management software
  • Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • High degree of ethics and integrity
  • Able to identify inconsistencies in routine work and initiate corrective action within own workflow
  • Able to deliver results with a sense of urgency
  • Adapts well to change; flexible and able to multi-task and make effective decisions given tight deadlines

Representation encompasses a wide range of civil matters, including domestic relations, public benefits, consumer problems, civil rights, land disputes, and for Hopi Public Defenders office they represent criminal cases.

LITIGATORS QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must have a JD degree and be licensed to practice in respective state; three (3) years’ experience preferred in the practice of law. The applicant must be licensed in their respective state and produce a Certificate of Good Standing; must be a bright, motivated, self-starter; must have the tenacity to assume immediate practice responsibilities, including handling a significant caseload touching on many different areas of law with regular appearances in court; must demonstrate an interest in poverty law and working with Native American and low income clients.

SALARY: Full-time salary starts at $37,500, with increases based on experience. DNA is seeking a Medical Legal Partnership Staff Attorney in its Flagstaff, AZ office. Class Summary:
This is an advanced, stand-alone classification encompassing incumbents responsible for providing in-house counsel and legal services to NHA departments, leadership, and the Board of Commissioners. Incumbents possess and apply a comprehensive knowledge of the legal field to actively guide and support NHA’s ongoing operations. Responsibilities may include conducting legal research and developing legal opinions; overseeing compliance activities; and conducting litigations including all related research and document preparation. Incumbents operate with considerable latitude for un-reviewed actions or decisions by virtue of their expert level knowledge and experience. Assignments generally require the interpretation and application of broad organizational policies and objectives into defined programs or services.
