Definition: Under general direction of the Community Manager or a designated Assistant Community Manager, performs a leadership role in establishing, maintaining and improving the development of the Community’s Family Advocacy Center (FAC) Program initiative. The FAC Program initiative is designed to be a comprehensive, Community based collaborative approach to crisis intervention and investigation. FAC primarily involves Health and Human Services, Social Services, Legal Services, Police and Prosecutor’s offices.

Provides an unprecedented and critical Community service by management of the FAC’s centralized and integrated (“Wraparound”) victim oriented programs that will eventually include, but are not limited to, crisis intervention, domestic abuse, Child Protective Services (CPS), Adult Protective Services (APS) and elder abuse family advocacy. The primary focus of the center is Child Protective Services, with additional advocacy services for vulnerable adults and families. Provides SRPMIC program awareness to outside advocacy related entities. This job class is treated as FLSA Exempt.

Minimum Qualifications
Qualifications:
Education: A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Social or Behavioral Science, Law Enforcement, Justice Studies, Criminal Justice & Criminology or a closely related field.

  • A Master’s degree in a closely related field is preferred.

Experience: 5 years demonstrated successful experience in one of the following disciplines: health & human services, law enforcement pertaining to family/domestic violence, or legal services preferably in a family advocacy related specialty.

  • 3 years supervisory experience required.
  • Integrative experience with HHS, legal and Police/investigative processes required.
  • Demonstrated successful experience with HHS, child and adult protection services, domestic and elder abuse, crisis management and law enforcement entities required.
