Job Purpose
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for the successful leadership and management of the organization according to the strategic direction set by the Executive Board.

Leadership
• Participate with the Executive Board and Tribal Governing Bodies in developing a vision and strategic plan to guide the organization

• Identify, assess, and inform the Executive Board of internal and external issues that affect the organization in a timely and routine manner

• Act as an advisor to the Executive Board on all aspects of the organization’s activities

• Foster effective team work between the Executive Board and the CEO and between the CEO and staff

• In addition to serving the Executive Board as spokesperson, as required, act as a spokesperson for the organization in a manner consistent with approved organizational resolutions

• Conduct official correspondence on behalf of the Executive Board as appropriate and jointly with the Executive Board when appropriate
