The primary role of the Research Advancement Administrator is to support the American Indian Policy Institute (AIPI) by providing direct support to research investigators in the area of proposal preparation. Research Advancement staff also serve as liaisons across campus between colleges, schools, departments and research investigators in their interactions with the centralized Office of Research and Sponsored Project administration (ORSPA). Under the supervision of the Director, the AIPI Research Advancement Administrator will develop proposals; conduct research; serve on committees and attend meetings with funding agencies, tribes and other organizations; monitor expenditures, ensuring adherence to program objectives and project budgets; serve as primary liaison on grant funded projects; manage data collection and compilations, analyze data, prepare and present findings as needed; communicate with internal and external experts and stakeholders, and recommend appropriate projects and grantors. |
