Associate Attorney

There is an immediate opening for a full-time Associate Attorney. This is for an attorney at least three years legal practice experience. Salary is commensurate with such an experience level and being a small firm. Travel will be required.  Applicants must be licensed and in good standing in Colorado or willing to take the next available state bar exam at own expense. An attorney with interest in Indian, international or cross-cultural issues is being sought. Applicants should be self-starters who want to be immediately and directly engaged with the firm’s long-time clients. Some litigation in tribal, state, and federal court will occur from time-to-time, but the position mostly involves general counsel work including policy making, contracting, dispute resolution and public policy development. Indian preference in hiring is given.  Starting salary up to $61,000 D.O.E. with health insurance and retirement savings benefits when qualified. Bonus possibility at year-end. An opportunity to develop into a firm partner is always offered by the firm to its attorneys and is dependent on achievement, compatibility and commitment to law and the firm.
