Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community<\/strong>
\nDeputy Defense Attorney<\/strong><\/p>\n

DEFINITION: Under general supervision of the Managing Defense Attorney, represents Community members, guardians, parents or other defendants of the court facing a variety of criminal, civil, juvenile, and traffic charges before the Tribal Court. This job class is treated as an FLSA Exempt position.<\/p>\n

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
\nQualifications:
\nEducation & Experience: Juris Doctor with a minimum of three (3) years of litigation experience. Prefer experience\/familiarity with tribal advocacy and judicial functions of tribal government.<\/p>\n

Equivalency: Any equivalent combination of experience and education that will allow the applicant to satisfactorily perform the duties of the job may be considered when filling the position.<\/p>\n

Insurability: Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona Driver’s License and be able to meet the SRPMIC insurance standards.<\/p>\n
