Casey Foundation and the National Indian Child Welfare<br \/>\nAssociation, to implement our juvenile justice initiative; the initiative is<br \/>\nfocused upon promoting<br \/>\nalternatives to incarceration for Native American youth, with a particular<br \/>\nemphasis upon the potential application of the Juvenile Detention Alternatives<br \/>\nInitiative (JDAI) in tribal communities, including implementing tribal JDAI at<br \/>\none tribal site, increasing the number of tribes that are aware of JDAI and its<br \/>\npotential use in Indian country, and increasing the number of tribal leaders<br \/>\nthat are interested in juvenile justice reforms that would reduce the<br \/>\nincarceration of Native American youth.<\/li>\n<li>Work<br \/>\nwith the Executive Director and outside counsel to prepare an analysis of<br \/>\ntribal-state agreements pertaining to Title IV-E of the Social Security Act<br \/>\ndealing with foster care and adoption.<\/li>\n<li>Perform<br \/>\nsuch other duties, as may be assigned by the Executive Director, in other AAIA<br \/>\nprogram areas which include child welfare, international repatriation and<br \/>\nfederal acknowledgement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Knowledge of and\/or experience working<br \/>\nwith Indian tribes and cultures is essential.<\/li>\n<li>Experience working in the juvenile<br \/>\njustice or child welfare systems is preferred.<\/li>\n<li>J.D. degree is preferred;
