The Public Rights Division serves Californians by safeguarding the State&#8217;s environment and natural resources, protecting state lands, maintaining competitive markets, preventing fraudulent business practices, protecting consumers against misleading advertising claims, preserving charitable assets and protecting civil rights. NATA collaborates with other sections in the PRD along with the Office of Native American Affairs to provide legal expertise across diverse legal topics and tasks.
