They should have experience with the legal functioning of a tribal government and be prepared to provide day-to-day legal counsel on all aspects of governmental action.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:list {\"ordered\":true} -->\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><!-- wp:list-item -->\n<li>Providing legal services to the Tribal government, Executive Directors, CEOs, Board of Directors, and various other departments, enterprises, commissions and committees.<\/li>\n<!-- \/wp:list-item --><!-- wp:list-item -->\n<li>Must be able to practice in the area of child welfare and have familiarity with the Indian Child Welfare Act.<\/li>\n<!-- \/wp:list-item --><!-- wp:list-item -->\n<li>Appear in Tribal and State Courts on behalf of the Tulalip Tribes in child welfare proceedings.<\/li>\n<!-- \/wp:list-item --><!-- wp:list-item -->\n<li>Maintain the ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.<\/li>\n<!-- \/wp:list-item --><!-- wp:list-item -->\n<li>To respond effectively to the most sensitive inquires or issues in a confidential manner.<\/li>\n<!-- \/wp:list-item --><!-- wp:list-item -->\n<li>Write memos, correspondence and articles using original or innovative techniques or style.<\/li>\n<!-- \/wp:list-item --><!-- wp:list-item -->\n<li>Make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to Tribal Leadership, management, public groups, and\/or other governmental agencies.<\/li>\n<!-- \/wp:list-item --><!-- wp:list-item -->\n<li>Regular and satisfactory attendance and punctuality.<\/li>\n<!-- \/wp:list-item --><!-- wp:list-item -->\n<li>Other related job duties as assigned.<\/li>\n<!-- \/wp:list-item --><\/ol>\n<!-- \/wp:list --><!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:list -->\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><!-- wp:list-item -->\n<li>High School Diploma or GED equivalent.<\/li>\n<!-- \/wp:list-item --><!-- wp:list-item -->\n<li>Juris Doctorate from an ABA accredited law school.<br \/>MINIMUM RELATED EXPERIENCE<\/li>\n<!-- \/wp:list-item --><!-- wp:list-item -->\n<li>One (1) year of experience practicing law or equivalent experience advocating for or providing counsel to Indian tribes or tribal communities.<\/li>\n<!-- \/wp:list-item --><!-- wp:list-item -->\n<li>Three (3) years of experience representing or working with Indian tribes.<\/li>\n<!-- \/wp:list-item --><\/ul>\n<p>See job posting for full details: <a href=\"http:\/\/newsletters.asucollegeoflaw.com\/ilp\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/9\/files\/sites\/2\/2025\/04\/Attorney-Job-Description-20250416.pdf\">Attorney-Job-Description-20250416<\/a><\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:list -->\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>JOB SUMMARYThe Reservation Attorney shall work with other Attorneys in the Office of Reservation Attorney to represent and provide legal counsel to the Tulalip Tribes government in all judicial and administrative forums and in the Tribes\u2019 governmental and business relations &hellip;
