{"id":10178,"date":"2021-02-10T19:37:17","date_gmt":"2021-02-10T19:37:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/newsletters.asucollegeoflaw.com\/ilp\/?p=10178"},"modified":"2021-02-24T19:05:38","modified_gmt":"2021-02-24T19:05:38","slug":"job-opportunity-full-time-attorney","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsletters.asucollegeoflaw.com\/ilp\/2021\/02\/10\/job-opportunity-full-time-attorney\/","title":{"rendered":"Job Opportunity &#8211; Full Time Attorney"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Arizona Voice for Crime Victims (AVCV)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Summary: The legal representation will be limited to asserting and enforcing victims\u2019 constitutional and\/or statutory rights in criminal proceedings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>J.D. from an accredited law school<\/li><li>Membership in good standing with the State Bar of Arizona and the District of Arizona<\/li><li>Having reliable transportation and being able to travel throughout Arizona frequently, occasional out of state travel<\/li><li>Passing a background check<\/li><li>Being able to obtain a fingerprint card<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Qualifications: Ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of the Federal Crime Victims\u2019 Rights Act and the Arizona Victims\u2019 Bill of Rights<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Experience working with members of tribes<\/li><li>Experience in the state and federal criminal justice system<\/li><li>Excellent research, writing, and oral argument skills<\/li><li>Ability to &nbsp;handle a heavy case load<\/li><li>Excellent communication and organizational skills<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Duties:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Appearing in court with victims<\/li><li>Conducting research on victims\u2019 right issues<\/li><li>Drafting legal pleadings<\/li><li>Working with social workers\/victim advocates to assist victims throughout the criminal justice process &nbsp;<\/li><li>Assisting with office coverage<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Interested applicants should send a cover letter,&nbsp;resume, references, and&nbsp;writing sample to<\/strong>&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:colleen.avcv@gmail.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">colleen.avcv@gmail.com<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Arizona Voice for Crime Victims (AVCV) Summary: The legal representation will be limited to asserting and enforcing victims\u2019 constitutional and\/or statutory rights in criminal proceedings.
