The program prepares students for careers in international development, national and international security, human rights, and rule of law and good governance.\u00a0<\/p><p>The IRLS program is based in Washington, D.C. and Phoenix, AZ. ASU Law students have the option of spending up to a full year (two semesters) of their law school careers taking courses from ASU faculty in Washington, D.C. While in D.C., most students choose to take advantage of D.C.&#8217;s unique externship opportunities and work on the issues they are learning about in their courses.
