Current matters include challenges to religion<span lang=\"JA\">\u2010based refusals by businesses and government officials to <\/span>provide services to LGBTQ individuals; Trump Administration regulations that permit religious objectors to deprive women of insurance coverage for contraceptives; and the Trump Administration\u2019s Muslim Ban. The Senior Litigation Counsel will serve as lead counsel in trial and appellate litigation of church\u2013state cases such as these throughout the country.<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><strong>Advancing the Constitutional Principle of Church\u2013State Separation<br \/>\n<\/strong>Americans United for Separation of Church and State is a nonpartisan educational and advocacy organization dedicated to advancing the constitutional principle of church\u2013state separation as the only way to ensure freedom of religion, including the right to believe or not believe, for all <span lang=\"JA\">Americans.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">Founded in 1947, Americans United is a diverse and dynamic organization composed of people from all walks of life: lawyers and lobbyists, students and activists, religious leaders and impassioned Americans.
